With over 20 years of experience in independent publishing, Cheryl Callighan, CEO and Founder of The Authors Ink Press, has dedicated her career to solving a critical industry problem: the gap between manuscript completion and professional publication. Starting her entrepreneurial journey in 1989 with a home-based secretarial service, Cheryl evolved with the digital revolution, becoming a pioneer in virtual business services before focusing exclusively on publishing in 2005.
After completing specialized training in author services, Cheryl recognized that most new authors didn't need another assistant—they needed a publishing partner with the expertise to ensure their books could compete professionally. This insight shaped The Authors Ink Press's comprehensive approach, guiding authors through every complexity of modern publishing while ensuring they retain complete ownership of their work.
Drawing on decades of hands-on experience with evolving platforms—from Amazon KDP to IngramSpark, from Draft2Digital to today's wide distribution networks—Cheryl brings deep technical knowledge and industry insight to every project.
